I think most of us have officially made the transition from summer to fall. The PSL is back in full force, there are booties online everywhere and it is definitely chilly in our neck of the woods. What makes the change in seasons easier for me is when I stumble on gorgeous products like obsessed and inspired by tablescapes right now, I thought it would make the perfect table runner for a fall tablescape……what do you think?

I am always drawn to light and airy scenes, so for this tablescape, I decided on a white color scheme. The crisp, white leaves on the paper was the perfect starting point. It might be because the days are getting shorter, but I am holding on to bright colors for now. Maybe October will change my mood. To create the centerpiece, I took a trip to our backyard. I still have beautiful white dinner plate dahlias blooming and I trimmed some leaves from our Virginia creeper for filler. This might have been the last I harvest from the yard this year, I wanted these plants to last! To help with that, I added floral foam to the bottom of the wooden bowl so that the stems stay hydrated. An example of this is an earlier post I wrote. Other than greens and whites, I wanted an additional pop of color in the table setting for some added elegance. One of my favorite colors from the fall 2017 pantone color pallet is blush pink, so I added touches of it in the centerpiece and with the linen napkins. Even though this tablescape is a little on the non-traditional side, it still gives me those fall feelings. I am starting to experiment with mixing different types of glassware. For the elegance, the coupe glasses were a perfect fit, but to add that vintage texture, the water glasses from Anthropologie  were the perfect match. How are you decorating for fall? Do you get into tablescapes more during this time of year? Let me know what you’re up to!
